JOY

This
morning started as most mornings do, I got up at the usual 5 am
and headed to the gym. I did my regular workout, then came home,
sat down and enjoyed my cup of coffee as I spent time reading
the Word, praying, and journaling. In the last few weeks, the
Lord has given me a strong desire more joy. I have been
fervently asking Him for more joy. Today he showed me 8
ways to get joy. Almost immediately I felt it come over me like
a wave. I had an extra "bounce" in my step this am,
and after my time with the Lord, I headed out for my daily 3
mile run with a little extra "energy". I recalled
during my run the truths that He revealed to me. When I returned
home, I had such an excitement and anticipation for the day.
Ready to go, ready to show joy joy joy. Well, here it is 3:00
pm.....and what happened? You guessed it, I lost my joy. UGH!
How did that happen?---and so soon? Circumstances of the day
have robbed my joy! So, here I find myself returning to
what I learned early this morning. In great humility, I can
sharing these with you, as I am also revisiting the heart of God
for joy in my life.....again!
Here
are 8 ways to get your joy back. ( I am sure there are
more, but this what the Lord shared with me this a.m.)

Reading His Word (Jer 15:16)

Praying (Js 5:13)

Praise (1 Sam 2:1-10, Ps 40:3)

Giving Thanks (1 Thess 5:16-18)
5.
Working Hard (Ps 128:2)
6.
Serving others (Jn 13:14-17)
7.
Fellowshipping with other believers (Neh 8:10)
8.
Responding correctly--enduring against temptation (Matt 5:1-12
Js 1:12)
Be
blessed.....go out there and be joyful......people will wonder
what the difference is in you. Then you can share with them the
source of your joy! JESUS!
